The bearer cap is welded. It is installed between the bolster lug and the bearer counterpart on the freight car frame.
Protects bogie elements against wear.
The bearer caps coupled with safety bolts are mounted onto the bolster supports. Also spacer shims are mounted for adjusting of gaps between bogie bearer and car body bearers. Bogie bearers support car body under the action of side forces
